Let’s talk about all the international achievement of India under Modi Government:

Make in India:

In 2014, India witnessed a remarkable decision of our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the ‘Make in India’ project. This project was established to encourage and create more and more companies to develop and manufacture products in india. The project's main focus was on fostering prospects for indigenous bands and generating employment. Essentially, by nurturing a higher number of domestic companies in India, there would be a surge in employment opportunities, consequently leading to an expansion in product supply. The main three objectives of ‘Make in India’ project, viz.,

  • To improve the growth rate of manufacturing sector’s to 12-14% per annum.

  • By 2022, additional manufacturing jobs in the economy will increase to 100 million

  • To make sure that the manufacturing companies are contributing to GDP is increased to 25% by 2022, later will be revised to 2025

Before the ‘Make in India’ project, India had to buy commodities from outside the country but after the project many new manufacturing companies and start-ups made their own materials and sold these products at a lower price which also helped the Indians to buy things at a lower rate and also India made.

India-Israel Relations:

India-Israel relations have grown intensely after the Modi government. Israel is the second largest supplier of military resources to India after Russia. From 2014 to 2021, India obtained various military hardware from Israel, including combat aircraft radar systems, armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), anti-tank missiles, and surface-to-air missiles, among other equipment. The two nations share a broad and all-encompassing connection in terms of their economy, military, and politics.

India-Russia Relations:

India-Russia relations after the Modi government have improved notably. Although India is largely dependent on Russia for military equipment. India is the second largest country that imports equipment from the Russian defence industry. India’s relation with Russia has grown up in recent times. As the government exported military machineries from Russia on a large scale. It is to be noted that, in 2017, around 68% of the equipment for the Indian military's hardware imports originated from Russia, establishing Russia as the primary source of defence weaponry.

Rafale Jet:

In 2019, the first ever Rafale jet came to India that was exported from France. The deal for the Rafale jet was inked in September 2016. India obtained 36 Rafale jets for the Indian Air Force under the budget of 59 crores. The first Rafale jet was handed over to India in October 2019. India has received all the 36 Rafale jets from France. Although the bringing of Rafale jets was not an easy task for the BJP government, they had to undergo many criticisms not only from the oppositions but also from those who are against the BJP government. But atlast Rafale deal was finalised and it was brought to the country especially to encourage our Air force.

Apple Manufacturing Company:

The first Apple manufacturing company was set up in Tamil Nadu in 2019. Foxconn Hon Hai Technology has been manufacturing Iphones in India since 2019. Recently, the company bought a 1.2 million square metre land for $37m in order to enlarge the manufacturing in India. Apple CEO Tim Cook also met the prime minister on 19th April, this year and assured him growth and investment in the country. As a result of such manufacturing companies our Make in India project is also accomplishing as there will be more jobs available in the market.

Vande Bharat Express:

In 2019, the first Vande Bharat express was flagged off in India from New Delhi- Kanpur- Allahabad-Varanasi route. The Vande Bharat Express functions as a brief-distance railway service managed by the Indian Railways. Just like the Shatabdi Express, these daytime train services link significant Indian cities that are located within a journey of under one day. The train can support semi-high speed but as a result of railway track speed capacity, numerous stoppages, overcrowding traffic, the speed capacity is limited. We are expecting that after Vande Bharat express India will soon witness the much awaited Bullet train in the coming year.

Covid-19 Vaccines:

In 2020, India witnessed an emergency situation all over the country when people were locked down in their homes due to rapid cases of Covid 19. The whole world was struggling to overcome such an uninvited situation which had changed the whole scenario of the country. But India succeeded in providing vaccinations to the majority of people in a short span of time. India started the vaccination drive of Covid-19 on 16th January 2021. The vaccine was developed by Bharat Biotech named COVAXIN and another company Serum Institute of India manufactured the vaccine named Covishield. Although there were many vaccines developed by many countries including many companies, Indian developed these two vaccines were supplied among the whole country. As per a study released in The Lancet in June 2022, the administration of COVID-19 vaccines in India resulted in the prevention of an extra 4.2 million fatalities between December 8, 2020, and December 8, 2021.
