An 18-year-old suspect, Adam Abdihakeem Adam, was released on bond just two days after his arrest in connection with a shooting outside Eden Prairie High School in Minnesota. The incident occurred during the school’s homecoming football game on October 2, prompting authorities to evacuate the stadium as two teenagers were shot.

According to Hennepin County jail records reviewed by Fox News Digital, Adam was released at 7:04 p.m. on October 10 after posting bond. The records listed a $100,000 bail or bond option without conditions. He faces two felony counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of second-degree riot while armed with a dangerous weapon. His next court appearance was scheduled for Monday afternoon.

The release attracted criticism from President Donald Trump’s Rapid Response 47 account on X, which highlighted police statements reportedly linking the shooting to rival Somali gangs. The account criticized the decision to release the accused and described the bail arrangement as having no conditions.

Police say the shooting took place outside the school during the homecoming football game, creating an emergency that led to the evacuation of the stadium. The case has raised questions about how bail decisions are made in serious violent-crime cases, particularly when the accused faces multiple felony charges.

Under the US legal system, bail decisions depend on the applicable state laws, the allegations, the defendant’s circumstances and the court’s assessment of relevant factors. The charges against Adam remain allegations, and the case will proceed through the judicial process.
