Colonel Taimur Rahat, the Army and Air Advisor at Pakistan's High Commission in London, was filmed making threatening gestures towards Indian protesters who had gathered to condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists.

In the video, Colonel Rahat is seen holding a poster of Indian Air Force Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman before making a throat-slitting gesture towards the protesters. The footage, which quickly went viral, shows him initially holding the poster with both hands before lowering one hand to make the threatening motion.

Following the Pahalgam attack in Kashmir, over 500 Indian nationals gathered outside the Pakistan High Commission on Friday to protest. The protesters carried placards, Indian flags, and banners to mourn the tragedy and demand justice for the victims. They raised slogans condemning terrorism and criticized Pakistan for allegedly harboring the terror groups responsible for the attack.

In a statement, the event organizers expressed their dismay, saying, "Today's protest was a call for justice and accountability. However, in a deeply disturbing and disgraceful move, officials at the Pakistan High Commission played loud celebratory music during the protest. This insensitivity only added to the suffering. While the world mourns the victims, the high commission’s actions displayed a shocking lack of empathy."
