CM of Odisha praises PM Narendra Modi

Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik praises Prime Minister Narendra Modi and rated 8 out of 10 regarding different aspects of governing at the national level. I would rate the Prime Minister at an eight out of ten for his accomplishments in the realm of foreign policy and various other areas. Additionally, there appears to be a decrease in corruption within this administration. Mr. Patnaik expressed his opinion, stating that Mr. Modi has been instrumental in combating corruption and is making dedicated efforts to serve our nation's citizens. This assessment was provided by Mr. Patnaik during the Odisha Literary Festival, which was hosted by an English news publication.

He also knows that Modiji has done many things for the country but Mr. Patnaik realises it and praises him for everything. Actually the opposition fails to praise him for the development he has done for the country. We maintain a friendly rapport with the Central government, and it is only natural that we aspire for the progress of our State. Mr. Patnaik emphasized the significance of securing the Central government's collaboration in our state's development. When I assumed office in the early 2000s, we were well aware of the poverty that plagued Odisha. Initially, my focus was on combating corruption, and subsequently, we encountered a devastating super cyclone. Our efforts in disaster management proved to be quite effective.

Over the years, we have made significant strides in the fields of agriculture, education, industry, and healthcare," stated Mr. Patnaik. The Chief Minister of Odisha expressed his endorsement of the women's reservation Bill. He noted that his late father, Biju Patnaik, had initiated a 33% reservation for women in local bodies, which has now been increased to 50%. Additionally, the party has allocated 33% of seats for women in Parliamentary elections at the party level. They have also implemented the Mission Shakti program, benefiting seven million women by empowering them economically and socially.

Mr. Patnaik also mentioned that his party is prepared for Assembly and Lok Sabha elections at any time. While the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) maintains a neutral stance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress, it has occasionally supported the NDA during crucial moments, such as when the ruling alliance faced a shortage of majority in the Rajya Sabha during the passage of certain bills.
