The IDF has provided details on the positions of five Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives killed in an overnight airstrike in Nuseirat, central Gaza.

According to the military, the five operatives were "posing as journalists." The Palestinian television channel Al-Quds Today, affiliated with Islamic Jihad, identified those killed in the airstrike as members of its staff.

The IDF states that the strike targeted Ibrahim Jamal Ibrahim al-Sheikh Ali, an operations officer involved in Islamic Jihad’s combat propaganda; Faisal Abdallah Muhammad Abu Qamsan, the head of Islamic Jihad’s security in Nuseirat; Mohammed Ayad Khamis al-Lada’a, also involved in combat propaganda; Ayman Nihad Abd Alrahman Jadi, a former member of the group’s naval force and involved in combat propaganda; and Fadi Ihab Muhammad Ramadan Hassouna, another operative linked to combat propaganda.

The military adds that “intelligence from multiple sources confirmed these individuals were Islamic Jihad operatives posing as journalists.”
