Germany: Muslim migrant invades home and assaults 9-year-old twins amid wedding celebrations

A 28-year-old Somali refugee, Mahamad A., is currently on trial in Germany for allegedly breaking into a residence and sexually abusing 9-year-old twins during a family wedding celebration. The incident occurred on October 5 of last year in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg, Hesse, when the intoxicated suspect entered the unlocked home around 11 p.m. while approximately 30 guests were celebrating downstairs.

According to Bild, Mahamad A., under the influence of alcohol and cannabis, made his way upstairs to the children’s bedrooms. The public prosecutor, Dominik van Gember, explained that the suspect first entered the boy’s room, exposed himself, and tried to remove the child’s pajama pants.

The boy, referred to as Ben, awoke frightened and ran to his mother, Elke H., a doctor, who initially dismissed it as a nightmare and sent him back to bed. Shortly after, Ben’s twin sister, Marie, appeared downstairs in just her underpants. Elke H. recounted, “I went to the bathroom with her, and at that moment, Ben shouted: ‘Help, help, there’s someone here!’” The suspect had reportedly returned to Ben’s room.

A federal police officer attending the wedding subdued Mahamad A. until authorities arrived, finding him with two stuffed animals he had brought into the house. The Darmstadt Regional Court learned that the defendant, a former forklift driver, had resided in Germany since 2017.

While he denied the allegations during a police interview, claiming, “I didn’t do anything,” he later admitted in court to entering the home but said he could not recall committing the crimes.
