An 11-year-old girl, Emily K., was subjected to a prolonged sexual "relationship" with Mohammad S., despite her young age. The abuse continued, with S. even celebrating her 12th birthday with a cake amidst the abuse.
The trial against S. continued on Monday, focusing on separate but equally disturbing allegations. He is accused of luring two 18-year-old women to his Erfurt apartment on August 31, 2024. He allegedly threatened them with a machete and forced one of the women to have sexual intercourse. "You won’t get out of here until one of you has sex with me," he reportedly stated, while suffering from scabies.
Further details uncovered during the trial revealed a pattern of child sexual abuse. Cell phone analysis showed that Mohammad S. had been abusing Emily K. since at least March 2022, when she was only 11. He claimed the girl's family consented to the relationship, a claim vehemently denied by her parents.
"We wanted to stop it, we told him that it was a criminal offense," testified the girl’s father. However, the abuse continued in secret, with the parents unable to protect their drug-addicted daughter once she left the house. The defendant's claimed age has also been inconsistent, ranging from 19 to 29, but the Central Register of Foreigners indicates he is actually 31.
The trial also revealed that S. had previously served six months in prison for threatening to bomb an Erfurt savings bank in 2022.
A psychiatric evaluation by Dr. Iris Maurer painted a picture of extreme aggression, stemming from a childhood of violence and abuse. S. reportedly described beatings by teachers and daily fights involving knives. Even after fleeing to Germany in 2016, his behavior remained violent. Dr. Maurer quoted him as expressing extreme hatred towards people in Germany, despite receiving financial assistance.
The verdict has been postponed until March 5th.
