Germany: Muslim migrant vandalized 245 cars, assaulted an elderly woman, possessed illegal weapons, and will not face deportation

A Syrian migrant has an alarming criminal record, which includes smashing the windows of 245 cars, assaulting and injuring an 84-year-old woman, and possessing illegal weapons. Despite this, the courts have decided to allow him to remain in the country.

The individual, Firas A., is theoretically a habitual offender, but this classification has been dropped by the Hamburg criminal police. No deportation is currently planned, a decision uncovered through a parliamentary inquiry by the Alternative for Germany (AfD).

Firas A. arrived in Germany in 2015 and was granted permanent residence in December 2021. He has also been caught driving without a license on multiple occasions, having his car keys confiscated after his second arrest for this offense, according to Bild.

He later embarked on a spree of vandalizing car windows, causing significant damage across the city, until plainclothes officers caught him in the act.

In November 2023, he was arrested for threatening his former employer and found with an illegal butterfly knife. He was held for just one day, as he admitted to the crime and posed no further threat to “obstructing justice,” according to the public prosecutor.

Recently, he was taken into custody for attacking an 84-year-old woman.

Firas A. has been convicted eight times, including the most recent conviction on July 24, 2024. He has accumulated €10,500 in fines.

Hamburg, known for being one of Germany's most pro-migrant cities, is governed by a red-green state administration. Officials argue that as a person entitled to subsidiary protection, Firas A. can only be deported if there are significant national security or public order concerns.
