Hamas attacks group of Gazans escaping to the southern region, resulting in 70 deaths

IDF spokesperson Jonathan Conricus alleges that the strike on a convoy of Gazans heading to the southern part of the Strip on Friday may have been a deceptive operation conducted by Hamas. During a Q and A session on X, Conricus suggested that only Hamas would benefit from the tragic images of children and civilians who were evacuating south and then were tragically killed.

At least 70 people, mostly children, lost their lives in the strike, which occurred on a route designated by Israel for Gazans fleeing the area. Another 200 individuals were injured. Conricus anticipates that the army will provide evidence to support this claim in the coming hours or days.
