The residents, both shocked and outraged by the incident, took quick action. Witnesses at the scene apprehended Moeed, subjected him to physical altercation, and handed him over to the police. Meanwhile, Vakil, the second suspect, managed to flee and is currently evading capture.

Soon after, members of Hindu organizations gathered at the location to protest, strongly condemning the incident and demanding severe penalties for the perpetrators. The event has sparked widespread anger within the local community.

Moeed Khan has been arrested by the Shahjahanpur police, and an official investigation is in progress. Authorities have confirmed that legal actions are underway, and efforts to track down the second suspect continue.

This incident has escalated communal tensions, particularly among certain Islamic jihadist groups who have shown increased hostility toward non-Muslims. The troubling reality is that even the youth in these groups appear to be indoctrinated with hatred against India and Hindus. Despite benefiting from various government welfare programs, there is a persistent demand for more aid, all while pledging allegiance to Pakistan. The chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” heighten concerns that a significant segment of the population in India holds sympathetic views towards Pakistan.

In another alarming incident in Darbhanga, Bihar, a group of Muslim men reportedly carried out targeted assaults on Hindus after confirming their religious identities. This attack seems to have been influenced by the recent Islamic terrorist assault on Hindu tourists in Kashmir.

Local sources report that the altercation began with a collision between two motorcycles, one belonging to Hrithik Yadav and the other to Noor Alam. After the crash, Alam reportedly fled the scene, and both families later met and decided to settle the matter amicably.

However, tensions escalated when a group of Muslim men gathered on a nearby road, attacking passersby and demanding to know their religious affiliation. Eyewitnesses confirmed that only Hindus were targeted. The assailants reportedly used sticks and sharp objects to assault the victims.

At least eleven Hindus were seriously injured, including Rajkishore Yadav, Ramsagar Yadav, Amit Kumar, Sumit Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Hrithik Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, Lakshman Yadav, Sonu Kumar, and Dinesh Manjhi. Among the injured, Ramsagar Yadav, Hrithik Yadav, and Sumit Kumar sustained critical injuries and were referred to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.

Following the assault, the police filed a First Information Report (FIR) based on the victims’ complaints, naming 21 Muslim individuals as suspects. The accused include Mohd Irfan Qureshi, Mohd Ibran Qureshi, Mohd Salman, and others.

It is truly unfortunate that, even during times of national crisis, when the Indian Army is defending the border, these dangerous elements within the country target innocent civilians, including children. These groups act as internal supporters for Pakistan, effectively fighting its battles from within Indian borders. While India’s military is capable of defending against external threats, dealing with internal enemies poses a far greater challenge. For a secular government, the presence of pro-Islamic institutions complicates any decisive action against such internal threats.
