A disturbing revelation has emerged during the interrogation of members belonging to a pan-India terror module with direct links to the Islamic State (ISIS). According to Delhi Police, the arrested suspects confessed that the group had been plotting to assassinate a prominent politician in Mumbai. But this was not their only objective. Investigators uncovered that the module was also targeting Hindu youths across the country who had married Muslim girls, intending to kill them in the name of their radical ideology. This shocking disclosure has placed security and intelligence agencies on high alert, underscoring the expanding ambitions and deepening reach of the ISIS-backed terror network within India.
Further investigations shed light on the specific roles assigned to different operatives. One of the accused, identified as Kamran from Madhya Pradesh, had been tasked with executing attacks on Hindu men in interfaith marriages. The module’s leader, Danish, was found to be orchestrating the broader plan. Officials revealed that Danish had even procured weapons from Telangana to facilitate these targeted killings, highlighting the seriousness of their preparations.
Authorities also discovered that the ISIS-inspired module was not a small, isolated group but a growing network attempting to broaden its footprint across India. Danish, acting as the mastermind, had already succeeded in indoctrinating more than 80 young men into their fold. These recruits were systematically brainwashed, radicalized, and persuaded to participate in violent extremist activities. The scale of recruitment and the brazenness of their plans demonstrate that the outfit’s objective was not just sporadic attacks but the creation of a widespread terror infrastructure across the nation.
