A chilling incident of violence has sent shockwaves through Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh, after a 24-year-old Hindu youth, Nishant Singh, was brutally murdered in broad daylight. The killing, which took place near the Kasya police station, has left the local community traumatized and triggered widespread outrage and protests.

According to police officials and eyewitness accounts, Nishant was riding his motorcycle along with his friends when he was forcibly intercepted by Mohammad Naushad and his associate Faisal. What began as a confrontation quickly escalated into a savage attack. The assailants allegedly dragged Nishant off his bike and launched a ruthless assault, slitting his throat and stabbing him in the abdomen. The sheer brutality of the attack, described by witnesses as “Taliban-style,” unfolded in full public view, leaving bystanders horrified and helpless.

Eyewitnesses further stated that the violence initially erupted when Nishant’s friend, Kundan, was attacked by the two accused. As Nishant stepped in to defend his friend and stop the assault, the attackers reportedly turned on him. Naushad is said to have pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed Nishant before both assailants fled the scene.

Critically injured and bleeding profusely, Nishant was rushed to a nearby hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life. Despite doctors’ efforts, he succumbed to his injuries, plunging his family into deep grief and intensifying public anger over the incident.

The brutal nature of the killing, its occurrence in a busy area close to a police station, and the apparent brazenness of the attackers have raised serious questions about public safety and law enforcement. As tensions remain high in Kushinagar, residents continue to demand swift justice and strict action against those responsible for the heinous crime.
