India: Muslim girl attacked in mosque over relationship with a Hindu boy

A young Muslim girl in Karnataka's Arabilachi village, Shivamogga district, was allegedly assaulted by 13 Muslim youths for reportedly dating a Hindu boy. Following this, she was also beaten in the local mosque. A police case has been registered after the girl filed a complaint.  

According to reports, the incident occurred when the girl was walking with a Hindu boy from the same village. A group of Muslim youths confronted them, questioning why she was with a non-Muslim. When the girl responded that she had done nothing wrong, they attacked her and also assaulted the Hindu boy.  

The accused have been identified as Maqboor Pasha, Tohid, Rafeeq Taseena, Tanzia, Kalim, Sunnu, Nasrullah, Abdul, Jishan, Rizwan, Abdullah, Abbas Ali, and Akbar.  

Subsequently, the girl was summoned to the local mosque by its committee. When she arrived with her mother, she was reportedly beaten again, allegedly for being seen with a Hindu boy.
