India: Muslim girl's family kills her Hindu boyfriend

On Saturday, November 30th, the Uttar Pradesh Police arrested five individuals in connection with the murder of Shailesh Yadav, a 9th-grade student from Prayagraj. Authorities believe that Shailesh, who was allegedly in a relationship with a Muslim girl, angered her family, leading them to commit the crime. Among those arrested are the girl and her parents.

According to local reports, the incident occurred in the Uttaraon police station area of Prayagraj. Shailesh was reported missing on the evening of November 30th. His father, Ashwani Kumar Yadav, mentioned that he received a call that evening, prompting him to leave home. Concern grew when Shailesh failed to return later that night, and the family’s attempts to reach him by phone were unsuccessful as his phone was switched off. At around 11 p.m., the family began searching for him in the Ismail Lala Ka Pura village, where they found his lifeless body.

Investigations revealed that Shailesh had been in an alleged relationship with the Muslim girl, which was strongly opposed by her family. Despite warnings for the boy to stay away, the two continued to communicate. The boy’s parents suspect that the girl’s family lured him into a trap, murdered him, and disposed of his body near a pond.
