An Iranian member of parliament has issued a strong warning that Iran’s response to any potential military confrontation may not remain confined to the Middle East and could extend much further geographically. According to remarks reported by Iranian outlet Didban Iran and later translated by Iran International, the lawmaker suggested that even the personal residence of former U.S. President Donald Trump could become a target in an extreme escalation scenario.

The official was identified as Amir Hayat Moghaddam, a member of Iran’s parliament who also serves on its National Security and Foreign Policy Commission. He reportedly stated that Iran would deliver what he described as a “crushing response” if the United States were to launch an attack against the country.

According to the published report, Moghaddam outlined several possible retaliatory actions Iran could take, including sinking a U.S. naval vessel in the Sea of Oman, striking American military bases across the region, and directly targeting U.S. personnel — whether soldiers, officers, or high-ranking commanders.

He further warned that Iran’s military response might not remain limited to regional theaters and could potentially reach American territory itself. In that context, he referenced “Trump’s own palace,” an apparent allusion to Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private residence in Florida, suggesting it could theoretically become a target if hostilities were to escalate significantly.
