Namami Gange misson by Modi ji

Namami Gange is an integrated conservation mission launched by the Government of India in 2015 to clean and protect the River Ganges and its tributaries. The mission aims to address the various pollution sources along the Ganges, including sewage, industrial effluents, and agricultural run-off, as well as to improve the river's ecological health and biodiversity.

The mission is being implemented by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), which is the main implementing agency, along with the state governments of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, which are the five main states through which the Ganges flows.

The mission has a number of components, including:

Sewage treatment infrastructure development

River surface cleaning

Afforestation

Ganga Gram (a village adoption program)

Public awareness and participation

Industrial pollution control

Bio-diversity conservation

The mission has also been supported by a number of other initiatives and schemes, including the Atal Bhujal Yojana, which aims to enhance the groundwater resources in the Ganga Basin, and the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide tap water connections to every household in the country.

Overall the mission is to ensure that the Ganges and its tributaries are cleaned and protected for the benefit of the millions of people who depend on the river for their livelihoods and well-being.

Though many achievements are being claimed by the government it is also being said that it's not enough as the pollution continues to be severe in many stretches of the river.
