A Mount Sinai doctor who allegedly denied Hamas atrocities and praised the terror group as “noble resistance and freedom fighters” has been terminated from her teaching position, The Post has learned.

Dr. Lila Abassi, an assistant professor of medicine at the Upper East Side hospital, was dismissed earlier this month following an investigation into a series of troubling online posts, confirmed a hospital spokesperson.

In a series of controversial messages, Abassi, 46, reportedly wrote “Long Live Hamas & Hezbollah,” called the Israeli army a “plague,” accused Israel of “slaughtering babies,” and dismissed reports of rape during the October 7, 2023 attack that resulted in the deaths of 1,200 Israelis and thousands more injured.

“Please show me actual rape video,” Abassi wrote in a Facebook group for doctors, using the pseudonym “Kluver Bucy,” which refers to a rare brain disorder that affects memory and behavior, potentially leading to eating disorders, hypersexuality, seizures, and dementia.

The hospital launched an investigation that led to her termination, according to a Mount Sinai spokeswoman.

“No longer will any Jewish patient feel confident that they will receive safe care from that individual, and by extension, the institution that employs her,” said the founders of Physicians Against Antisemitism, a watchdog group that uncovered the posts online.
