Pakistan: Woman detained over blasphemy allegations on TikTok

India, March 22 — Pakistani authorities have arrested a TikToker in the Muzaffargarh district on blasphemy charges, according to media reports.
The woman was accused of posting derogatory remarks on social media, prompting a complaint.
Hailing from Jatoi tehsil, she allegedly used offensive language in a TikTok video, which was reported to the police by the complainant and two others, as per Dawn News.
A case has been registered against her under Sections 295-A and 298-A of the Pakistan Penal Code, which pertain to acts intended to outrage religious sentiments and the deliberate use of offensive language to wound religious feelings.
