PM Modi escalates his criticism of the Opposition's I.N.D.I.A. name gimmick

On Thursday, July 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly criticized the coalition of 26 opposition parties, calling themselves the 'I.N.D.I.A' alliance. He accused them of trying to hide their past wrongdoings by forming a new alliance. According to PM Modi, these parties have never shown genuine concern for India.

PM Modi addressed the public in Sikar, Rajasthan, stating that the opposition coalition is attempting to cover up their previous actions, especially during the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) regime. He compared their current slogan, 'UPA is India, India is UPA,' to their past slogan, 'Indira is India, India is Indira,' which led to their defeat. He also accused the opposition of seeking interference from foreign powers in India's affairs, questioning their commitment to the country.

Furthermore, PM Modi criticized the Congress party, stating that it has lost direction and its allies have changed their names, similar to fraudulent companies, to avoid the stigma of supporting terrorism. He accused the opposition of having motives other than patriotism and accused them of undermining the capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces.

PM Modi also highlighted the issue of One Rank One Pension during the UPA rule, claiming that the opposition did not fulfill the demands of Indian Army personnel. He accused the opposition of crying foul in front of international media and tarnishing the country's image while focusing more on appeasing vote banks than the nation's welfare.

Regarding Rajasthan, PM Modi expressed concern about the future of women and youth, alleging that the state government was jeopardizing their prospects, citing instances like a paper leak program affecting the youth.

PM Modi emphasized that merely using the term 'India' in their names does not make the opposition parties trustworthy. He cited examples of various organizations with 'India' in their names, such as East India Company, PFI (Popular Front of India), and Indian Mujahideen, to drive home this point.

The coalition opposing PM Modi's party in the upcoming 2024 general elections is known as the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA). It is led by the Indian National Congress (INC) and includes several regional parties from different states. The coalition aims to compete against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
