PM Modi holds a conversation with PM Netanyahu regarding acts of terrorism by Hamas

In the midst of the intense Israeli military action in Gaza following the Haas terror attacks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday. During their discussion, he reiterated his support for the people of Israel. Last Saturday, Prime Minister Modi expressed his solidarity with Israel in response to the deadly rocket attacks by Hamas. He conveyed his condolences and thoughts, along with those of his fellow countrymen, to the innocent victims and their families.


Taking to his official social media account, PM Modi shared the details of his conversation with Netanyahu, stating, "I appreciate Prime Minister @netanyahu for his call and for updating me on the ongoing situation. The people of India stand firmly with Israel during this challenging time. India strongly and unequivocally condemns all forms of terrorism and its manifestations."

Furthermore, PM Modi expressed his deep shock at the news of terrorist attacks in Israel and extended his thoughts and prayers to the innocent victims and their families. He reiterated India's unwavering support for Israel during this difficult period.


According to the latest reports, the Hamas attacks have resulted in the loss of at least 900 Israeli lives and injuries to over 2,616 individuals. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared an update on the situation, revealing that Hamas is holding approximately 30 hostages in Gaza during the ongoing conflict. They also reported that around 4,500 rockets have been fired from Gaza into Israel, prompting the Israeli defense forces to strike 1,290 Hamas targets in Gaza. The Israeli Air Force continues to carry out extensive attacks on various targets belonging to terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.


An IDF spokesperson confirmed that 123 soldiers have lost their lives in the fighting, and 50 families have been informed that their relatives were kidnapped by Hamas. In response to these hostilities, Israel has mobilized 300,000 troops within the last 48 hours, a rapid and substantial deployment according to Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, who provided this information.
