Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a series of development initiatives, including the 14th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme during his visit to Sikar, Rajasthan on Thursday.

An amount of Rs 17,000 crore was directly disbursed to the bank accounts of more than 8.5 crore PM-Kisan beneficiaries. The PM-Kisan scheme, launched in February 2019, provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year to eligible land-holding farmers in three equal instalments every four months.

Additionally, PM Modi inaugurated 1.25 lakh PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) across the nation, which will serve as one-stop centers catering to farmers' various needs. These centers will provide information on agricultural inputs, testing facilities for soil and seeds, and details about government schemes, becoming a reliable support system for farmers.
