PM Modi interacts with prominent Australians, encouraging stronger ties between the two countries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a series of meetings with prominent individuals from various fields during his official visit to Australia. On the second day of his trip, Modi engaged in extensive discussions with notable personalities encompassing art, sanitation, and science.
Some of the individuals he met were Brian P. Schmidt, an acclaimed Nobel laureate in physics and the vice-chancellor of the Australian National University; Mark Balla, an expert in business and a passionate advocate for humanitarian causes; Danielle Mate Sullivan, an indigenous artist; Sarah Todd, an internationally renowned chef and restaurateur; Toby Walsh, the chief scientist at the Artificial Intelligence Institute of the University of New South Wales; Salvatore Babones, a sociologist; and Guy Theodore Sebastian, a prominent singer.

During the meetings, Prime Minister Modi commended the accomplishments of these individuals and urged them to contribute to strengthening the bilateral relationship between India and Australia. As part of his three-nation tour, which included visits to Japan and Papua New Guinea, Modi expressed his admiration for their achievements and sought their assistance in enhancing the ties between the two countries.
Following the discussions, Schroder, the CEO of the pension fund AustralianSuper, expressed his optimism about the outcome. He stated that Modi demonstrated a profound understanding of business, which was highly encouraging. Schroder also mentioned that AustralianSuper has invested in India's National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and has had positive experiences with their investments in India.
Modi emphasized India's reputation as a highly desirable major economy for foreign investments and extended an invitation to AustralianSuper to collaborate with India.
