Russian President Vladimir Putin has once more praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a "highly astute individual" and commending India's impressive advancements in development during PM Modi's leadership. These accolades were reported by Russia-based media outlet RT. President Putin expressed optimism regarding future collaborations between Russia and India, specifically in the areas of financial security and combating cybercrime.

At an event, Putin was quoted in a video shared by RT, stating, "We enjoy excellent political relations with Prime Minister Modi; he is an incredibly astute individual. India's significant developmental progress under his leadership aligns with the interests of both India and Russia as we work toward these goals." These remarks closely followed the adoption of the New Delhi Declaration during the G20 Summit in India.

Notably, this declaration advocated for achieving peace in the ongoing Ukraine conflict without assigning blame to any specific party, marking a departure from the previous Bali Declaration. Moscow welcomed the New Delhi Declaration, considering it a "significant milestone," and praised the active role played by the Indian presidency in uniting G20 nations from the Global South.

Last month, President Putin also applauded PM Modi's efforts in promoting the Make in India program, stating that he was "taking the right steps." While speaking at the 8th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Putin acknowledged India's emphasis on manufacturing and using domestically produced vehicles and expressed the belief that emulating such initiatives would be advantageous.
