Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to initiate 511 rural skill development centres in Maharashtra, dedicated to the late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan. The launch is scheduled for Thursday, to be conducted through video conferencing. According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), these centres are being established across 34 rural districts of Maharashtra. Their primary objective is to conduct various skill development training programs, aiming to create employment opportunities for the rural youth.

As per the statement, each of these centres will train approximately 100 young individuals in a minimum of two vocational courses. The training programs are facilitated by recognized industry partners and agencies affiliated with the National Skill Development Council. The statement further emphasised that these initiatives will play a crucial role in enhancing the region's workforce by cultivating a more competent and skilled labour pool.
