During the parliamentary party meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly criticized the Opposition. He pointed out that simply using the word 'INDIA' would not suffice, as both the East India Company and Indian Mujahideen had also used it. The Prime Minister expressed his dissatisfaction with the newly formed alliance of 26 Opposition parties, named 'I.N.D.I.A' or the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, ahead of the upcoming general elections. He accused the Opposition of creating chaos in Parliament over the Manipur issue and called them a "directionless opposition" with no long-term vision for governance.
The Bharatiya Janata Party held this meeting to strategize for the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament, with PM Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw among the leaders in attendance.

Meanwhile, the INDIA parties are considering a no-confidence motion against the government in Lok Sabha. In response to PM Modi's comments, Congress leader Shobha Oza argued that the Prime Minister himself had used 'India' in naming various schemes and should not object when the opposition uses it.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament, which began on July 20, has been marked by disruptions and protests from opposition parties concerning the Manipur issue, particularly after a disturbing video of two women being paraded naked by a mob in Manipur went viral. Amidst this atmosphere, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh was suspended by the Rajya Sabha Chairman due to his unruly behavior during the current session of Parliament.
