Born in 1875 in Gujarat, Sardar Patel was a prominent Congress leader and a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi during the freedom struggle. As the first home minister of independent India, he played a crucial role in integrating numerous princely states into the Union through a combination of diplomacy and determination. "The 25 years leading to India's independence witnessed an unwavering dedication among Indians to achieve freedom. Similarly, we now confront a comparable 'Amrit Kaal' of the next 25 years, offering us an opportunity for a prosperous India.

We must strive towards our objectives, taking inspiration from Sardar Patel," Modi asserted. He also highlighted the revocation of Article 370, which granted special status to the former state of Jammu and Kashmir. "The removal of Article 370, an unexpected development, has bridged the divide between Kashmir and the nation. Sardar Saheb would undoubtedly be elated and bless us from wherever he is," the PM remarked.
