Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in a Havan and Puja ceremony at the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) complex in New Delhi to commemorate the inauguration of the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) complex. During the event, he also honored the Shramjeevis. The IECC complex was developed at a cost of approximately ₹2,700 crore and serves as India's largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination.

The IECC complex, constructed as a National project, spans an area of about 123 acres and replaces the old and outdated facilities at Pragati Maidan. It is designed as the centerpiece of the Pragati Maidan complex, boasting impressive architecture that can host large-scale international exhibitions, trade fairs, conventions, conferences, and prestigious events. The complex features numerous meeting rooms, lounges, auditoriums, an amphitheater, and a business center, enabling it to accommodate a wide range of events.
Notably, its majestic multi-purpose hall and plenary hall together have a seating capacity of seven thousand people, surpassing the famous Sydney Opera House in Australia. Additionally, the magnificent Amphitheater can accommodate up to 3,000 individuals. The IECC complex stands as a remarkable and grand addition to India's event hosting capabilities.
