Qamar Mohsin Sheikh, recognized as the Pakistani-born Rakhi sister of Narendra Modi, will be making a trip to New Delhi to personally tie a rakhi on the Prime Minister's wrist during this Raksha Bandhan celebration. For the last three decades, Sheikh has consistently sent a rakhi to Modi each year.
She said that she has made the rakhi by herself and she will also gift him a book on agriculture as he likes to read books. She was unable to attend rakhi for the last two years due Covid 19, but this time she will meet him in person.

When she sent Raksha Bandhan wishes to the prime minister the previous year, she expressed her anticipation of a meeting with him in the present year. Discussing the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, she confidently stated that he would undoubtedly assume the role of prime minister once again. She believed he rightfully deserved this position due to his exceptional capabilities, expressing her ongoing desire for him to hold the position of Prime Minister of India in perpetuity.
On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, sisters traditionally tie a Rakhi around their brother's wrist, symbolizing their well-wishes for his prosperity and long life. A contemporary trend has emerged where sisters also reciprocate this gesture. This festival is observed on the final day of the Hindu lunar calendar month of Shravana, typically occurring in the month of August.
