Prime Minister Modi unveils a new name for the old Parliament Building

On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, PM Modiji along with the other members of the parliament left the old parliament and joined the new parliament building which was inaugurated very recently. In his final address at the old parliament building today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that it would henceforth be known as "Samvidhan Sadan," signifying "Constitution House."


Following this announcement, Prime Minister Modi proceeded to lead all Members of Parliament on a walk to the new parliament building, which will now serve as the official venue for the Indian parliament. Yesterday, in his address to the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Modi expressed his respect for every component of the existing structure and conveyed that Members of Parliament would step into the new building with renewed optimism and assurance.

According to official sources, there are no plans for the demolition of the old building; instead, it will be renovated and modernized to offer more practical facilities for parliamentary activities. Additionally, certain reports indicate that a section of the old edifice might be transformed into a museum.


The preservation of this historically significant structure has been emphasized, as it stands as an archaeological treasure for the nation, according to these sources. We citizens are very proud to have such kind of development in our country and we also hope that in future our country will also get developed like this.
