The government of India, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has implemented a number of progressive policies and initiatives since taking office in 2014.
One major initiative is the "Make in India" campaign, which aims to boost the country's manufacturing sector and attract foreign investment. The campaign includes measures to simplify the process of doing business in India, as well as efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
Another key initiative is the "Digital India" program, which aims to increase the use of digital technology in government services and to promote the growth of the digital economy. This includes the creation of a national digital infrastructure, such as high-speed internet networks, and the development of e-governance services.
The Modi government has also made significant investments in infrastructure development, with a focus on building new highways, airports, and railway lines. This is expected to not only improve connectivity within the country but also boost economic growth.
In addition, the government has launched several social welfare schemes, such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, which aims to provide financial inclusion for all citizens, and the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, which aims to provide clean cooking fuel to families living below the poverty line.
This includes simplifying the process for obtaining licenses and permits, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and introducing a number of digital platforms to make it easier for businesses to interact with government agencies.
