The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has obtained a harrowing video documenting a brutal execution of a civilian inside Al-Suwaidaa National Hospital.
The disturbing footage captures members of Syria’s Ministries of Defence and Interior forcibly dragging a young man through the hospital premises. The victim is subjected to severe physical assault before being executed at point-blank range. The sheer cruelty of the act is heightened by the setting—a medical facility that should be a sanctuary of care, turned instead into the scene of a killing.
In the background, dozens of individuals dressed in hospital uniforms are seen kneeling on the floor, frozen in fear and unable to intervene. Their posture and expressions convey the overwhelming tension and terror that gripped the facility during the incident.
After the execution, the assailants are seen dragging the victim’s body away, removing it to an undisclosed location. His fate, beyond what is captured on camera, remains unknown.
This footage is not an isolated case. According to SOHR, it is part of a disturbing pattern of atrocities in Al-Suwaidaa, where the organisation has documented the execution of at least 401 civilians—grim evidence of the ongoing human rights violations in the region.
