INFO LE FIGARO – These minors are under suspicion for actions taken in Vitry-sur-Seine. On December 2, they allegedly coerced one of their victims into saying “long live Allah.”

Two 17-year-olds, suspected of multiple aggravated thefts in Vitry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne), will appear before the Créteil prosecutor’s office on Thursday, January 9, and will subsequently be presented to a juvenile judge, according to the public prosecutor’s office, as reported by Le Figaro.

The minors are being summoned to court “for a hearing to determine their guilt before the juvenile court on February 13, 2025” for thefts aggravated by three factors – committed by a group, with a weapon, and with faces concealed – on November 24, December 2, December 3, and December 15 in Vitry-sur-Seine, the prosecutor’s office stated. Judicial supervision has been requested until the hearing date, with conditions including a ban on contact with each other and with the victims, a ban on possessing weapons, and a curfew.

Religious motive behind one of the attacks One of the attacks on December 2 had a religious undertone. On that day, a young man fell into an ambush at the “Lucien Français” housing project in Vitry-sur-Seine. He was expecting a meeting for a “business partnership” but instead encountered two individuals armed with knives who demanded money from him.

They then forced him to repeatedly say “long live Allah,” according to sources close to the investigation. When he refused, the young man was stabbed in the hand before reporting the incident to authorities.

During their arrest, investigators from the Val-de-Marne territorial security service (ST94) found six phones, three knives, a balaclava, and a telescopic baton at the suspects’ residences.
