A source has stated that King Charles was "supportive" as Muslims gathered to break their Ramadan fast inside Windsor Castle.
For the first time in its 1,000-year history, Windsor Castle opened its doors for an open Iftar in the State Apartments.
On Sunday, over 360 Muslim guests came together in St George’s Hall to break their fast, a historic event as this hall, typically reserved for banquets and state visits, hosted its first Iftar gathering.
The free event was organized by the Ramadan Tent Project (RTP), a UK-based charity, with support from the Royal Collection Trust.
King Charles, who has long championed interfaith dialogue, was "kept informed" and "supportive" of the event, a source revealed.
Recently, King Charles and Queen Camilla also marked the beginning of Ramadan by meeting members of London's Syrian community at Imad’s Syrian Kitchen restaurant.
